MY VEGETARIAN / VEGAN BUFFALO WINGS RECIPE

OK so these Vegetarian "Buffalo Wings" are so bomb they're pretty much better than the real thing lol. They're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They look and taste like the real thing, its crazy! Also, this recipe could also be Vegan, I will note what needs to be replaced through-out the recipe! They honestly are too good not to share, my mouth is watering all over again just typing out the recipe, so lets get to it!

Ingredients
For "wings":
1/2 Cauliflower Head
1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Milk (for vegan: replace with water, soy milk or almond milk)
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Cumin
2 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
Vegetable Cooking Oil

For Sauce:
1/4 cup Franks Red Hot Sauce
1/4 cup Butter - melted
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

Optional:
Ranch or Bleu Cheese (or your fav vegan ranch/bleu cheese dips)

Things You Will Need
1 Medium Pot - for frying
2 Medium Bowls
Whisk or Fork
Tongs
Knife

Instructions

1. Start by cutting your Cauliflower head in half. Put away the other half.

2. Take apart the half of the Cauliflower you are using. Rinse thoroughly. Then set aside.

3. Get one of your medium bowls and place your Flour in there.

4. Next add the Salt in the bowl with the Flour.

5. Then add the Cumin.

6. Next, add the Paprika with your other dry ingredients.

7. Add the Garlic Powder.

8. Your dry ingredients should look like this.

9. Lastly, add the Milk to the dry ingredients. (Remember if you're vegan, substitute the milk with: water, almond milk, or soy milk)

10. Using a whisk or fork, evenly mix.

11. Your batter mixture should look like the picture above. Make sure to get all the clumps of the dry ingredients thoroughly mixed.

12. Separate your Cauliflower evenly, about the size of real chicken wings, not too small, because they might break apart in the next steps.

13. Then after you have separated your cauliflower, put them into your batter mixture.

14. They should now look like the picture above, make sure to evenly coat them evenly with the batter. While you are coating them in batter, get your pot and pour enough oil into the pot so the cauliflower will deep fry. Set it on medium heat.

15. Make sure the oil is hot before placing any Cauliflower in there. Assuming the oil is ready, place about 4-5 pieces in the oil. Turn each of them as they fry so they get evenly cooked. When they are a darker golden brown they are ready to come out. Let them cook through so the inside is soft, but the outside gets really crispy! Repeat until you have cooked all your Cauliflower.

16. If you can multitask, you can do this step while frying the Cauliflower. In your second bowl, pour the Frank's Red Hot Sauce.

17. Add your melted Butter and Worcestershire sauce to the bowl with the hot sauce. Then whisk together to make your Buffalo Sauce. Set aside.

18. As your taking the Cauliflower out of the pot, put it on a plate with a paper towel, to soak up any excess oil.

19. When your done frying all of your Cauliflower set next to your Buffalo Sauce mixture.

20. Putting a few pieces in at a time, toss your "wings" in the sauce to get them evenly coated. Repeat to all pieces. Do this step fairly quick to not get your "wings" soggy.

21. Plate and serve immediately. Serve alone or with your favorite ranch or bleu cheese!

AND THERE YAAA HAVE IT. Some Vegetarian(or vegan!) Buffalo Wings!!!!! - That are so good you probably won't ever want to go back to the real thing lol! It crazy how much they look and taste like the real thing. I hope you guys enjoyed my recipe as much as I do! Happy cooking!
